Wimbledon Adventure
We decided to take a trip to London on the weekend to go and see a bit of Tennis at the famous Wimbledon Tournament….. To cut a long story short - We got lost in London for over 3 hours, had dinner with Jay and Linda (cousins) which was lovely, stayed at Leishas (thanks again), Went to rainy Wimbledon where we didn’t get to see a ball being played but still an awesome experience and finally went to a pub to support the Aussies in the world cup and we saw Russell Troup (small world).
Jaz is arriving in Belbroughton tonight and we are going to see a Shakespeare play in Stratford-Upon-Avon (his birthplace).
I have just landed a job at a very nice local bar and I start on Monday…. I decided that teaching just wasn’t worth it (nasty children). Gareth is doing great with his cricket and working lots.
Thanks for all the texts and emails, it is lovely to hear what you are all up to.

Woody finally makes the local paper!
Hi all, i’ve (gareth) been working quite abit lately contracting at the NEC in birmingham and they have just extended it to the end of august which is great!
As for the cricket if anyone is interested our team has been abit up and down we struggle to field the same team each week and there is a few over 40’s in the team which makes it interesting!
I have been doing ok with my bowling averaging about 3 wickets per game which is good but have felt better the last 2 or 3 weeks but am really struggling with my fitness as we dont train at all!
Made the local paper 2 weeks in a row!! which is called the “Bromsgrove Standard” as i took 5 wickets in one of the games and 3 in the other! apart from that we are both very well.
Bye for now….KEEP POSTING YOUR COMMENTS!!!

London Rocks!
I (Aliesha) went to London on the weekend to visit Leisha, I decided to go on a few bus tours and a river cruise…… what a beautiful city!!! It is completely different to New York but just as magical. The history, buildings and statues are so unique and it was a very sureal experience for me. Leisha lives down the road from Wimbledon Tennis Centre so I got to have a quick look at that on Sunday.
Guess what?… i taught at a primary school today! hhehehehehhee I was so out of my depth, I had no idea what to do! very funny. There was only one fight and 3 kids walking out of class and going missing……. a good day at the office as there is usually a lot more going on.
Gareth is really good, he is still working at the NEC and it looks like they want to extend his contract until the end of August. He is doing really well with his cricket, he got 5 wickets last week. I’m applying for a few more jobs as I’m sick of not knowing when I’m working, so fingers crossed. Till next time….. Take care, miss you all.

Manchester… 06/06/06
I went to Manchester on the weekend to visit Natalie and baby Jessica. They are both great, it was lovely to see them! Kate took me on a tour of Manchester on Sunday, she is a great tour guide as she seems to know all the history etc.
The world cup starts this weekend so you can imagine things are pretty crazy here, everyone is very patriotic (flags on buildings and cars). Im off to London this weekend to do some more sightseeing and for Leisha’s Birthday BBQ.
Our contiki starts on the 18th September for all of you who are thinking about coming over for it….. you had better get saving and planning (come on you know you want to!). No other news at the moment.
A big Happy Birthday to all the June babies…. Danny, Sithon, Lil, Melissa, Justine, Leisha, Janet, Lyn L, Joanne, Becca, Kelly, Gary B, Adele, Jay, Amy N, Maree and Carol Smith (must be a great month!)
