We only have just over a week at work and then we are off to Dublin for 3 days. We fly out of Heathrow on the 11th November, we have 8 days in LA and then 4 days in Las Vegas, yipeee. We arrive home at 5.30 am on the 24th of November…… don’t worry we don’t expect to see anyone at the airport, it’s far too early.

Bonjourno!
We have had an amazing time so far, the last few days we have been in Italy (Florence, Venice and Rome). The pizza and pasta is simply awesome! The history of these places goes back thousands of years, its amazing to see the buildings and structures.
Tomorrow we are exploring Venice and we are going on a gondola ride through the city! Our anniversary was crazy, will let you know more about that later….. hehehe I dont think we could of had such bad luck if we tried.
Basically, the people and the places are fantastic… no time to talk as a nice cold Italian beer waits. Photos are on their way.
Love you all xxx (especially Luke and Kylee, good on you Luke!)
Ciao Ciao
Hi there,
We have already completed our 5th day on contiki, we are having a fantastic time! The people are great, the sights are amazing and the vino and biere arn’t too bad either. We have been to Paris, Beajolais, Nice and Monaco…. yeah yeah, will tell you all about it later. We off to Florence Italy tomorrow yipeeeeeeeee
Hi there,
I thought I should update you all on our life….. we are doing great, I’m working full time at the bar/restaurant and Gareth is busy with his contract work and working for Mark (the guy that we live with) labouring. We are both really enjoying the change in our jobs but we are looking forward to having our careers back. The bar employs loads of overseas people, it’s so nice to be around other travellers. It’s been over 30 degrees everyday for weeks now, it’s getting a little draining especially because I’m working inside in a restaurant and Gareth is outside labouring (both very hot places).
We have our contiki in 7 weeks which we are really looking forward to (thanks again to all those who pitched in for our engagement pressie!) and we have lots of little holidays planned too. Our other major holiday is Los Angeles/ Las Vegas in November on our way home. Kelly and Dwayne are coming over to join us which will be awesome. We are coming home in November for a huge number of reasons…… jobs, weather, wedding plans, work visa expires….. etc. We are really loving being in England and we hope to see lots of what it has to offer before we leave.
We decided to take a trip to London on the weekend to go and see a bit of Tennis at the famous Wimbledon Tournament….. To cut a long story short - We got lost in London for over 3 hours, had dinner with Jay and Linda (cousins) which was lovely, stayed at Leishas (thanks again), Went to rainy Wimbledon where we didn’t get to see a ball being played but still an awesome experience and finally went to a pub to support the Aussies in the world cup and we saw Russell Troup (small world).
Jaz is arriving in Belbroughton tonight and we are going to see a Shakespeare play in Stratford-Upon-Avon (his birthplace).
I have just landed a job at a very nice local bar and I start on Monday…. I decided that teaching just wasn’t worth it (nasty children). Gareth is doing great with his cricket and working lots.
Thanks for all the texts and emails, it is lovely to hear what you are all up to.

Woody finally makes the local paper!
Hi all, i’ve (gareth) been working quite abit lately contracting at the NEC in birmingham and they have just extended it to the end of august which is great!
As for the cricket if anyone is interested our team has been abit up and down we struggle to field the same team each week and there is a few over 40’s in the team which makes it interesting!
I have been doing ok with my bowling averaging about 3 wickets per game which is good but have felt better the last 2 or 3 weeks but am really struggling with my fitness as we dont train at all!
Made the local paper 2 weeks in a row!! which is called the “Bromsgrove Standard” as i took 5 wickets in one of the games and 3 in the other! apart from that we are both very well.
Bye for now….KEEP POSTING YOUR COMMENTS!!!
I (Aliesha) went to London on the weekend to visit Leisha, I decided to go on a few bus tours and a river cruise…… what a beautiful city!!! It is completely different to New York but just as magical. The history, buildings and statues are so unique and it was a very sureal experience for me. Leisha lives down the road from Wimbledon Tennis Centre so I got to have a quick look at that on Sunday.
Guess what?… i taught at a primary school today! hhehehehehhee I was so out of my depth, I had no idea what to do! very funny. There was only one fight and 3 kids walking out of class and going missing……. a good day at the office as there is usually a lot more going on.
Gareth is really good, he is still working at the NEC and it looks like they want to extend his contract until the end of August. He is doing really well with his cricket, he got 5 wickets last week. I’m applying for a few more jobs as I’m sick of not knowing when I’m working, so fingers crossed. Till next time….. Take care, miss you all.
Leisha in her backyard and me on the tower bridge
I went to Manchester on the weekend to visit Natalie and baby Jessica. They are both great, it was lovely to see them! Kate took me on a tour of Manchester on Sunday, she is a great tour guide as she seems to know all the history etc.
The world cup starts this weekend so you can imagine things are pretty crazy here, everyone is very patriotic (flags on buildings and cars). Im off to London this weekend to do some more sightseeing and for Leisha’s Birthday BBQ.
Our contiki starts on the 18th September for all of you who are thinking about coming over for it….. you had better get saving and planning (come on you know you want to!). No other news at the moment.
A big Happy Birthday to all the June babies…. Danny, Sithon, Lil, Melissa, Justine, Leisha, Janet, Lyn L, Joanne, Becca, Kelly, Gary B, Adele, Jay, Amy N, Maree and Carol Smith (must be a great month!)
